About Decatur, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The town of Decatur is synonymous with suburban beauty and neighborhood fun. The seasonal weather means an ever-changing backdrop for the friendly residents, tree-lined streets, great schools, libraries, colleges, and businesses - just minutes from downtown Atlanta – make for a community that is hard not to love. The MARTA rail station is right under Decatur’s downtown square, so getting there takes no time at all. It is the ideal suburban retreat for commuters from the big city of Atlanta.

Named after 19th century U.S. Naval hero Stephen Decatur, the town retains a strong link to its history, while preparing for the potential of the future. The town has worked hard to grow with managed growth and responsible development. Decatur has a thriving arts scene and The Decatur Arts Alliance hosts the Decatur Arts Festival each May. They also put up public art installations around the community and provide gallery space to local artists. Named one of the South's "Tastiest Towns" in 2012, Decatur is also home to the famous Eddie's Attic - a live music venue hosting shows practically nightly as well as the annual Decatur Arts Festival, Summer In The City, Decatur BBQ, Blues & Bluegrass Festival, the Decatur Book Festival, the Decatur Maker's Faire, The Decatur Craft Beer Festival (named one of the top 10 beer festivals in the country) and the Decatur Wine Festival. The warmer months in the town are chock full of community and family-friendly fun.

Just 15 minutes from Atlanta is a recreational haven offering archery, boat rental, geocaching, orienteering, birding and tree-climbing programs. A paved trail is open for biking, rollerblading, hiking and running. Panola Mountain is a 100-acre granite outcrop with a rare ecosystem and rich history. Ranger-led hikes with instruction about the unusual plants and animals found in this environment are available, with a reservation. Panola Mountain State Park is considered the highlight of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and over the centuries, this area has been home to Native American, early settlers, immigrant rock cutters, Trappist monks, and emancipated slaves. Beautiful in every season, the area is particularly stunning in the spring and fall.
